John A Kelley Co F 6th Ga Cav

While researching Family History I found the grave of John A Kelley a member of Co F 6th Ga Cavalry. I tried looking for this unit but found little information. I did find his service card. He enlisted May 15 1862 in Blairsville, Union County, Georgia. He was enlisted by Col. Fain for a period of 3 years or end of war. He was last paid by Capt J. J. Goodman Dec 31 1862. Pvt Kelley was a Regimental Blacksmith he received 100 dollars for the use of his horse. On Feb 4 1864 he was listed as absent. No other records were found. He was born on 23 Jun 1830 and died 22 Oct 1931 he and his wife Loucinda are buried at Webbs Creek Baptist Church in Homer, Banks County Georgia.
