Lynn, I checked the soldier's roster from our books on the 35th and 50th Georgia Infantry Regiments. No Hart's in the 35th Georgia but there are 3 Hart's from the 50th Georgia. Jim Parrish's book "Wiregrass to Appomattox: The Untold Story of the 50th Georgia Infantry Regiment" lists Private Allen T. Hart, Company H [Colquitt County in south Georgia], who was wounded at Chancellorsville and died of wounds at Huguenot Springs Hospital [just southwest of Richmond] probably in June 1863. Private Simon Hart, also Company H, died of measles at Winchester, Virginia on October 23, 1862 and he is buried there. Private Berrien Hart, Company G [Clinch and Echols counties], was captured at Cedar Creek, Va., on October 19, 1864 and released from prison camp in 1865.
I know these soldiers are all from counties south of Madison but they might be related to people you are tracking. Good luck w/ your search.
