At my father's funeral, my great uncle gave me his genealogical research for the Stoker family dating back to Hillary and Sarah Stoker (DOB 1795) both from South Carolina and all children born in Tennessee. Children listed (chronological order) William Stoker(1818-1900), Sarah Stoker (1826), Edward Stoker (1828) died in Confederate Army, 1830-Dec. 25, 1900), John Stoker (1932), Jonathan Stoker (1833), Elizabeth Stoker (1836), Richard Stoker (1838).

Next record is William Stoker, Tenn.,(DOB 1818-1900) married to Nancy Kelly, North CaroLina (DOB 1820-1898) both buried in Naomi cemetery. The children are listed (chronological order) as Margaret Stoker (1840), Mary Stoker (1843), Hannah Jane Stoker (1846-1892), William Sylvester "Babe" Stoker (1847), John Henry "Major John" Stoker (1850), Adeline Louisa "Dede" Stoker (1854), James Berry Stoker (1855-1938).
I was noticing a lot of questions as to whether or not the soldiers listed were siblings so I was hoping this might shed some light. I know very little about genealogy, but the dates for Hillary Stoker and William Stoker seem to be a match. My father also had mentioned to me that his father's family was from Ireland. I have no further information on Hillary Stoker but would love more if anyone would care to share:)
