I have evidence that a flag was purchased for the 46th in 1862 while it was stationed in Charleston, SC. I believe that flag was of the First National type. Does anyone corroborate this information and does anyone know what happened to that particular flag? The flag currently on display in Upton is the Confederate Battle Flag, produced by either the Charleston or Augusta Depot later in the war. Thanks.
