I am the direct descendent of Andrew Jackson "Jackie" Taylor, Private, Co. A, 6th Georgia Cavalry. He was from Hiawassee and his brother, Jeremiah, also was in the unit. I have no photographs of either but I would be very interested in seeing the photograph's of others in the 6th. I have often wondered if they wore their own clothes, used butternut washed, or had Confederate issue. The photo above seems to answer that question. Appears to be standard gray Confederate issue. If others have photo's please post them! Thanks in advance!!
