Thank you so much for this info....it has finally answered the question for our family. How did you come about this info and are there any paper records regarding him and the 29th and his stay at Capital Prison or anything at all. We do have some records from the Natl Archives but they pertain to his time with the 2nd GA. On a side note do you know if there are any pictures of the 29th or the 2nd GA Cav. I have not been able to locate any. I would like find one....especially of him since we have no idea what he looks like. All the family photos of him were burned up in a house fire in the early 1900s.They dont have to be while in the service...just any would do. Again thank you very much.
