Mr. Hodge, I am extremely interested in the hospitals in LaGrange. I grew up in LaGrange, and worked there for a short time after high school. I remember there were some really old brick buildings a little way off a side street, they were connected by a really small alley to the street. They were at one time on the railroad tracks that came in from the direction of Atlanta. I have often wondered if maybe they were used as hospitals, because of the relationship to the rail lines. Also the Confederate cemetery would have been relatively close, and at that time on the same rail. But the buildings, and everything else that was on that little side street which is now a 4 lane, are gone. They even relocated the train tracks. I checked with the historical society and archives, they know the names of the hospitals but not specific locations, except the college which is still there. I don't want to tie up this board on smaller details, so please email me at taw87ga@gmail.com
