The "Local Troops" part is throwing me a little. Does this distinction mean these troops remained in Augusta, GA? What would they have done? I'd like to learn about the involvement of this regiment, were they in any battles, where did they go, etc. I can't find much of anything online. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
