Just wanted to let everyone know that on Friday, September 7, two historic interpretive markers will be formally dedicated to commemorate the roles of the 50th Georgia and 13th North Carolina Infantry Regiments, CSA, at the Battle of Fox's Gap, MD. The dedication ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM near the Reno Monument and entrance to the walking trail. Both regiments suffered heavy casualties during the battle, which occurred on September 14, 1862, just three days before the Battle of Antietam.
