By far, the vast majority of the cards in his file are re-transmittals of the War Department order of Sept., 1865 to be on the outlook for him and apprehand him at once.

Many of the cards in the file are too faint to read, however, I do not believe that information relative to his Court Martial will be found therein.

Your best bet is to query the Old Army Archivists at the National Archives in Washington, DC, specifically locating these two documents, and then have someone research them:

Chief of Military Police, Richmond, Va., Sept. 27, 1865 reports that “ . . . Lieut. Robert T. Bridges, 36th Geo. Regt. was in Macon, Ga. last month.” [Card #194]

Lt. Bridges was reported “ . . . in September and October 1864 [sic], in command of a squad of guerrillas between Ringgold and Dalton Georgia, where many outrages were committed by him and his party.” [Nov. 23, 1865, Card # 145]
