Re: Missionary Ridge Historical Walking Tour, 11/2

Mr. Odom,

A portion of the area outside of Sherman's Reservation has been recently put under a conservancy and a trail established for people to walk on. This has not been accessible to the general public until now. This area is where the 39th Georgia attacked down the ridge to the Glass Farm on the morning of November 25th and skirmished. The trail will also allow us access to the sidewalk near the Pennsylvania Reservation and we can go and explore Loomis's Brigade position and Bushbeck's right flank.

The vegetation is not the same as it was during the battle. The ridge would have to be, in large part, denuded for that and the houses torn down.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Respectfully,
