He arrived in Confederate hands from prison for exchange March 10-12, 1865. Doubtful he was able to
return to his regiment before war's end.

Joseph Hamon was transferred to Chimborazo Hospital, Div. 2, Richmond, VA., April 14, 1863

Note, believe Division 2 the same as Hospital No. 2

Records of patients for Chimborazo may be found at the National Archives in Washington, DC in Record Group 109
