Dear Lt. Colonel Hodge and Mr. Martin:

Thank you both for the replies. My GG Grandfather's name is William Jefferson Walker, born in 1845, Fort Valley, GA; died 1932, Citronelle, AL. The UCV member lists I received from LSU were for 1909, 1910, and 1911 - the lists contain Unit and Company information (not rank). I may have a genealogist further research the collection since LSU only does light research. I found on Ancestry a Mobile County list of veterans whose pension applications were rejected (my GG Grandfather's name is on it - it was mailed when it should have been hand delivered). The ADAH surely has the pension application - I will contact them. Also, Fort Valley, Georgia is near Macon, Georgia, so the 58th Infantry may have been combined with a Macon Unit.

Sincerely,

John D Cowart
