Thank you, I definitely want to visit someday. Unfortunately I live on the West Coast so I dream of visiting such places some day.

I can't thank you enough for that discovery. I don't know if I'll ever find anything nailing down that as my ancestor further but at this point he's the best fit for my William C Thomas and so far my William C Thomas is the only real fit I've found for that William, so pretty sure he's mine.

I knew he likely died shortly after April of 1864 due to the lack of showing up in muster rolls though it definitely makes it more pointed and emotional to see mention of him dying in a specific battle.

Any chance you could e-mail that newspaper image to me (if you have it)? I would love to store that away in my genealogy records and can't seem to find it on my own so far.
