Re: Casualty list,Battle of Chickamauga

I am trying to PROVE that my gg uncle, John M. Ferree, 59th OVI, who was killed on 19 Sept. 1863 at battle of Chickamauga is buried at Chattanooga Nat'l Cemetery. There is a "J.M.F." buried in Section L, grave #9410 buried there. IF I had a list of ALL Union soldiers who died at Chickamauga on 19 Sept 1863, I could check to see if there was anyone else with those initials (NOT!) I would like to have his name on a headstone, not just initials. John's brother, George W. Ferree was also fighting with the 59th Ohio. Family obituary says George carried his mortally wounded brother, John, off the battlefield. A brother would have buried a brother! A brother would have marked his grave as well (whether with initials or his full name...) The historians I have contacted said "there is no one else who was killed in John's unit that same day buried near "J.M.F.," so it must not be him!!! HOWEVER, I found Andrew J. Davis, grave # 9412, section L , Co A. 14th Ohio Infantry. He transferred to 1st Veteran Volunteer Engineers, Pioneer Corps.
WAS THIS PIONEER CORPS FIGHTING WITH THE 59th OHIO at CHICKAMAUGA? I would really appreciate any help or advice.
