I'm not aware of any books or magazine articles on the 10th Georgia Cavalry. The Unit File (arranged numerically) at the Georgia Archives in Morrow might yield some information on this command.

I found John's service records with Company E, 41st GA Infantry. I see he was wounded @ Perryville, KY, 10/8/1862; and was a paroled POW when Vicksburg was surrendered in July 1863. One card in his file suggests he may have been wounded @ Murfreesboro, TN in December 1862.

His service record from the 41st GA indicated he was transferred to Company A, 10th GA Cavalry; but I do not see his name on Fold3 for the 10th GA CAV.
