All information I have indicated the men were buried on the field. If they were reinterred, Marietta is the place. After Chickamauga, Chattanooga was held by federal forces, so burials there were before September 1863. There are over 3000 unknowns at Marietta. Most of those identified recently were in the Hospital records and if from Chickamauga they were wounded not Killed on the battlefield.
