Re: Casualty list,Battle of Chickamauga

George, Richard B. Pittman has an In Memory of Stone in Walthall County, Mississippi and has his photograph. The Find A Grave contributor says he was burned in a National Cemetery. The National Cemetery Administration says his body is at the Thomas Cemetery which is in contrast with Find A Grave. I don't believe the NCA would use a Find A Grave source for their information. I know someone at the NCA and ask them where they got their information from. I doubt if the NCA uses Find A Grave for a source.

Some contributors at Find A Grave are very good and some others not so good. If you could find out where the Find A Grave contributor received their source from and my NCA contact provides me with their source than perhaps we might learn something. At this juncture I would lean on the NCA being correct but let's see where this leads us. It may be weeks or a few months before I hear back from the NCA.
