There are two new books out for Vicksburg and Army of Tennessee Georgia Units. Atlanta's fighting 42nd by Robert's and Clark, and the damndest set of fellows by Fisher and waters. The damndest set of fellows is about the Cherokee artillery, from Floyd county, under Van Dem Corput. I have not looked at the book on the 42nd, but It is big and detailed. I read some of the Cherokee artillery book, on a part where they fired on Federal gunboats on the Mississippi in early 1863. It was awesome!!
