In the Oklahoma Confederate Pension #1603 for Andrew D. "Andy" Watkins, Mr. Watkins mentions her served under Col. Sam Ralston in Co. D, 16th Georgia Cavalry. Prior to Col. Ralston taking command, he served under Co. Johnson and Col. Graham, but surrendered with Col. Ralston at Kingston, GA. Mr. Watkins had (4) affidavits from John Whitner, Bert Weaver, L.B. Holt and Charlie Moore, stating they all served together in Co. D, 16th Georgia Battalion. Mr. Watkins was born in 1848 in Gilmer Co., GA, and died on 08 Oct. 1931, and is bured in Zion Cemetery, Stilwell, Adair Co., OK. I think this unknown Georgia Cavalry organizations was most likely called the 16th Cavalry Battalion, Georgia Militia.
