CAPTAIN A. J. NICHOLSON'S COMPANY "F"

John H. Wall Enrolled as a private in the original Texas State Infantry Company on June 12, 1861, mustering in on June 17, 1861 in Fannin County, Texas. He mustered out of the State Service and into the Confederate Young’s Texas Cavalry on October 2, 1861.

Wall was reported as present, sick, on the 1861 Confederate Muster Roll. Present for duty on 1862 through April 30, 1863 Muster Rolls. Absent in Rome (Georgia) Hospital on Muster Roll of December 31, 1863. Received forage for his horse at hospital on November 5, 1863. The Assistant Surgeon, E. M. Vasser, certified he was a patient in the hospital on the forage requisition, stating that he was with Co. "K", 8th Texas Cavalry. Detailed with Captain D. D. Porter, A.Q.M. on final Muster Roll.
