Mystery: Does anyone know a story about (Captain Jones ?) son of a plantation owner whose faithful friend was a slave? When the son died at the 2nd Battle of Manassas, his black friend carried the young man's sword and uniform all the way home to give it to Jones' father. Jones' could possibly have been from Georgia.

There was a display in some window with this story and photos. The store was in Georgia. The display was taken down and shortly after, the individual responsible for the information passed away.
