According to a copy of a special requisition in Capt. Jeremiah E. Ritch’s compiled service record, he received eight Starr Army patent and two Adams patent revolvers on 24 Dec 1862 at Camp Rapidan, VA from Capt. Young J. Anderson, Assistant Quartermaster for Cobb’s Legion Cavalry Battalion. Capt. Ritch was the commanding officer of company H of the Legion cavalry at this time and I assume these arms were for the officers of his company.
