Re: New (?) Book : CSA Hosp. Atlanta/Opelika

Tom, I too want to see this book. It was published in March of 2006 but I can't find it in a local (New Orleans) library nor in Clayton Library (Houston). Amazon has several copies, new and used. It runs about $25 but I'm concerned about buying a used copy only to find out that the CD has been filched. That would really aggrevate me.

You know, probably the best source for information on Confederate hospitals in the area would be period newspapers. I checked the available resources and the University of Georgia in Athens has a terrific collection on microfilm. They have WBTS editions of newspapers from Macon, Atlanta, Columbus, etc. Here's a link in case you are interested. You can search by year, location, etc. This may be old news to you but I thought I would mention it anyway. Rick
