My Gr-Gr-Gr Grandfathers:

Asst Surgeon William H. Baxley who enlisted with Havis/Palmers Georgia Battery. He later wound up serving at Jackson Hospital in Richmond. He led a company of Confederate Negro troops in Richmond Va from the Jackson Hospital in March 1865. They were described as "being in the lines and under fire." (I'm very interested to see whats in his file)
