On a interesting sidebar to Josiah Tyson, who was guarding prisoners at Camp Sumter in the summer of 1864, his brother, Sgt. Clement Tyson of Co.G 41st Ga Inf was home on leave in July of 1864 in Carroll County, Georgia. The Yankee calvary came through Carroll County looking for Confederates and in the process captured Clement.

Clement who was 43 at the time with a wife and kids was taken to Camp Chase, Ohio. In February of 1865 Clement died of pnuemonia cause the Yanks basicly froze him to death.
