I have a question for you about those inspection reports. I'm going to visit the National Archives next week and I plan on viewing and making copies of several of the inspection reports listing men from Cobb's Legion Cavalry Battalion.
From what I understand these reports can be found on microfilm publication number M935. Some of the ones I'm going to be looking for I found listed in the CMSRs of several of the officers. As an example, one is identified in the CMSRs as Inspection Report No. P-33; inclosure 34. Another is identified as No. P-37; incl. 3.
According to the online info at NARA for microfilm M935, roll 11 is described as containing inspection reports P-25 to 38-P-33 and roll 12 is described as containing inspection reports P-35 to 57-P-37. The 38-P-33 and 57-P-37 confuse me.
Can you please tell me if I just need to ignore the 38 in the 38-P-33 for roll 11, look at it as containing reports P-25 to P-33 and do the same for the 57 in the 57-P-37? If this is true, then I should find P-33; incl. 34 on roll 11 and P-37; incl. 3 on roll 12. Do you agree or is it more complicated than that? Thanks!
