Re: Roswell women who worked in a textile?

For some reason AoT troop strength drops off rapidly after Johnston's departure. Inspections reports from the August-September time frame should be fairly reliable sources for PFD numbers.

Unless someone claims that the Roswell women were detained in some type of camp north of the Ohio, seems as if it would be difficult to explain how they could be prevented from returning home. Were they obliged to wear a Saint Andrews cross on their clothing so that Northerners could identify them as Roswell women? Were guards posted at the Ohio River to prevent them from going South? Did the Federal government keep their names on an 1860s version of Homeland Security's "no-fly" lists?

BTW, in my world strictest security would be enforced all along the Rio Grande AND the Ohio Rivers. May I see your papers, please?
