Dale- Many of the people who survived Wilson's raid and remained free headed south to Florida in an attempt to construct manufacturies there. I have found scant reference to the people and events. Did you ever wonder why the OR's cut off so abruptly as to the events in 1865, little mention of Tampa and, due to the early May cessesion of inclusion of reports, none of events farther south.
