Gentlemen,

For those soldiers that surrendered at Kingston you will find in the soldier's Compiled Military Service Record a card referencing the fact and on the card it should have a notation in what document the soldier's name was found. That reference will be at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. Depending on the record, it may on microfilm. The best way to start is trying to call and talk to one of their archivist that is familiar with the Civil War Records Group.
