Yes I can Alan! Its the city cemetery for the town of Poteau, located in Leflore County, Oklahoma and is called Oakland Cemetery. I just happened to notice it because I was out there to clean up around my parents graves, and noticed the Confederate flag, and wandered over to it.
Since it had just begun raining, I left without placing flowers or anything for my parents BUT intend to go back out there tomorrow.
If you want me to get further info on this soldier such as his stats, etc., I can do so, and also take a photo of the grave. Although I've only lived here 2 years plus, I'd never noticed this before, and since OK. was still Indian Territory when the Civil War was going on, I've not seen too many Civil War soldiers buried here, at least where its stated on the tombstone. There are probably many buried here and I'm just not aware of them. The Battle of Backbone Mountain was fought about 15 miles from here on the border of OK. and AR., My great-uncles, two of them, with one seriously wounded in this battle, was serving w/the 2nd Mounted Rifles, AR. Also, my great-grandfather from TN. but fought for AR., has a son (my grandfather) buried near here in Leflore County OK. so I made sure its stated that he is a son of a C.S.A. soldier on his marker, son of James G. FORD of 15th (NW) AR. Infantry, to honor him.
Let me know if you think further info will be helpful. Probably since his grave is marked w/the Confederate flag, this soldier probably has relatives in the area.
