YES! This must be the same Thomas R. Beaty you mentioned in previous post, and he is buried here. I went out to the cemetery today and got his vitals off the grave marker. It has: Cpl. Co. G. 2 Regt. GA. Cav. CSA, born Nov. 30, 1820 and died Dec.29 1888. While out there I saw ONE other Confederate flag however it doesn't give much info so I don't know the state this soldier served under.
It is: B.F. GARRETT of Hill's Regt. of Mtd. Inf. CSA - No other data. His stone is beside a Susan B. Garrett, born in Sept. 1845, so this is probably this man's spouse.
I didn't locate any other flags and drove through the cemetery w/o getting off the roads so there could be others buried here in Oakland Cemetery.
Hopefully this may help someone searching for Mr. Beaty. I had him listed as Beatty but it is BEATY.
