Wheeler's cavalry inflicted damage on Federal cavalry under Mccook, Stoneman, and others in JUly of 1864. Are there any parks or atleast historical markers on those fields? In think sunshine church, Reynolds farm, Newnan (sic?) Covington, and Fayetteville are places where these cavalry battles took place.I think Brown's mill was another cavalry battle. I think I read in the book cracker cavaliers that the Kentucky cavalry brigade fought near and saved Athens from federal cavalry? Is there any markers that describe the actions of the Kentucky confederate brigade under Grigsby or Williams in the Atlanta campaign or march to the sea? This post could be full of mistakes.LOL!!
