There is a small -- very small -- Confederate section in the Fort Valley Cemetery. I haven't been there in years, but my recollection is that all of them died postwar. By small if I recall coreectly it is in the neighborhood of 20 graves. Marshallville, which is en route to Andrsonville on Ga# 49, is ion Macon County, but is a charming little town. Lots of marked Confederate veterans in the Methodist cemetery there. While in Macon County, don't miss eating at one of the Mennnonite bakeries or restaurants; they have several.

And if you are in to cemeteries, there is a good s0zed VConfederate cemetery within the mimits of the City cemetery in Americus. Most of the guards were Georgis reservists young boys and old men, and they had an appalling mortality too. They are all buried there in Americus. Americus is a pretty old town, with a fine resotred opera house which is worth a visit, if you ahve the time. And while its not CW related, there is a really fine telephone museum in Leslie, 12 or 13 miels southeast of Americus.
