If he died in the Macon Hospital then you may want to try the cemeteries in and around Macon, Georgia. They would not have moved his body from Macon to Atlanta for burial.

You may also want to contact the Troup County Historical Society. They have a copy of some of the Samual Stout Papers (head surgeon for the Army of Tennessee) and I think some of the Macon Hospital records may be there. All the record will show is probably date of admittance, date of discharge or death, and SOMETIMES the reason for admittance. It will not show anything like modern medical records such as daily checks, doctors comments, etc.
