Steven,

The 36th Georgia (Villipique's) was there in its antecendent formation, the 1st Georgia Battalion (Larey's).

The only Georgia units at Shiloh were the Washington Artillery of Augusta (Girardey's Battery) and the Nelson Rangers, who were, I think, Polk's escort company. Georgia units do not reach the Army of the Mississippi (later Army of Tennessee) until after the Kentucky Campaign, where only the 41st Georgia took part - and suffered heavily at Perryville.

There were some Georgia units at Cumberland Gap at this time however.

The 5th Georgia Infantry will be with the AOT later in 1862 into 1864.
