I had a great-great grandfather in Cobb's Legion Cavalry Battalion, which also makes me a big P. M. B. Young fan, since he commanded the Legion cavalry until he became a brigadier general and then commanded the brigade the Legion cavalry was in. Unfortunately, I live too far away to attend this dedication or I'd be there. For anyone who is going to attend, I would really appreciate it if they could please e-mail me a picure of the marker. If anyone has a picture of P. M. B. Young's grave marker, I would really appreciate it if you could please e-mail me a picure of it, too.
There is a homespun general's jacket on display at the Alexander H. Stephens Museum in Crawfordville, GA that belonged to and was worn by Pierce Young during the war (according to a booklet the Museum used to hand out when taking a tour there). I have a picture of this jacket, if anyone is interested in seeing it. Also, the Cobb's Legion Cavalry Battalion battle flag is on display at the Augusta Museum of History.
