I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Bobby Smith a few years ago at the Thomaston-Upson Archives. He was a wealth of knowledge concerning Upson County, and had some letters from the 46th Georgia. I believe he has passed away now, but his collections are listed as manuscript holdings at the Archives. I’m taking a trip over there in a couple of weeks if I get a chance I’ll take a picture of the flag and post it.
