Alan: Harris J. Hart was the son of Archibald Hart (who was married to Mary (Berry) 11-26-1802 in Oglethorpe,GA., Archibald died 3-5-1867 in Ga. One of Archibald's other sons, Isham B. Hart (my gg grandfather) had 3 sons that served inthe Confederacy in 2 TX. units. It appears that Harris Hart named his son after his father. All of the sr.
