The best source of info I've found on the 2nd Battalion Sharpshooters is a paper by Dana M. Mangham called "Cox's Wild Cats," The 2nd Georgia Battalion Sharpshooters on the skirmish line and in the line of battle. I can't remember where I ran across it in my research, but I'd be willing to provide copies for those interested. The paper is well researched and provides a wealth of knowledge on the 2nd Battalion Sharpshooters.

My ancestor Archibald Perkins Daniel fought with Co. B from Upson County. I also work with a guy who ancestor (David Charles Whitcomb) fought with Co. D.
