Searching for Richard Thompson, 4th. Tennessee, Calvary, Union Soldier, Company E. out of Bradley County, Tennessee, with Cleveland , Tenn. shown as post office.

Can anyone tell me anything about this soldier? He is listed on the 1890 Veterans Census but not on the Civil War inf. I think he might have had another name (possibly a First Name that is other than Richard and could be listed under it in the Civil War Info.).

I would like to know when he was born and any info. that anyone might have about him. It does appear that he survived the Civil War. It shows he mustered out 7-24-1865. But someone told me something could be wrong here because that unit mustered out on 7-12-1865. The days are so close I thought maybe someone just made an error.

Can anyone give me any feedback on this?
