On my gg grandfather's service record cards it says

Dec.31, 1863 muster: Present
Jan. 1864 muster: "Killed since last muster"
Feb 29, 1864 muster: "Killed since last muster"

I can't tell from this which month he died in -- if the January card was mistakenly filled in, or if he actually died in Jan. or if he died between Jan. 31 and Feb 29. It would be helpful to pinpoint the month he died so that I can determine where he died. There were all those small engagements over in Dalton at that time, and probably he was killed in one of them.
