I would suspect that Peter Franklin was removed to one of the hospitals in Richmond where he died. Most likely he is buried in either the Hollywood Cemetery there or in Oakwood. I have checked the Hollywood burial list and do not see him. Doesn't mean he's not there as there are many unknowns.

Same is true for Oakwood. I thought we had a burial list on the web but have lost it. I've asked the director of the fellow trying to identify many of the unknowns for assistance. Oakwood contains the remains of some 16,000 Confederate soldiers.

Obtaining his service record file might tell what hospital he was removed to.
Could assist in identifying which cemetery where he was buried.
