Here is a little info. for you. I added two other Millers in Company D in case they are also family.

This company was organized in May 1862, as Co. F, Inf. Battn., Smith's Legion, Ga. Vols. It became Co. D, 65th Regiment Ga. Inf., in March 1863.

Miller, D. A. --- private in Inf. Battn., Smith's Legion, Ga. Vols., May 6, 1862. Transferred to Co. D, 65th Regiment Ga. Inf., March 1863.

Miller, Eli---- private in Inf. Battn., Smith's Legion, Ga. Vols., May 6, 1862. Transferred to Co. D, 65th Regiment Ga. Inf., March 1863. In Knoxville, Tenn., hospital, August 25, 1863. Paroled at Greensboro, N. C., May 1, 1865.

Miller, James W. --- private in Co. C, 40th Regiment Ga. Inf., March 4, 1862. Transferred to Co. D, 65th Regiment Ga. Inf., January 1, 1864. Roll dated August 31, 1864, last on file, shows him present. No later record.
