Dennis,
I thank you, but I have been working with one of the curators at the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond and he did a check of the Stout papers. Dr. Holloway shows up in the Georgia listing of Soldiers, In the National Archives for CSA General and Staff officers, and in a book on Virginia Doctors of the 19th Century. Each place he is listed as an Assistant Surgeon and then Surgeon. I have some "service records" muster cards, receipts for fule, Hay ration for his horse, and travel pay of $99.00 to go from VA to Chatanooga, TN in 1864. I wish I could find a picture. I have checked with the Library of Virginia. I am going to write to the Univ. of Penn where he received his MD in 1857 to see if there was a "class Picture" or anything. Thank you again
Dr. Robert Massey
