If you don't already have Lt Col Jones's CMSR, it is filed with the Georgia 2nd Regiment at www.footnote.com. This is NOT the same unit as the 2nd Reserves. Some of the cards in the file suggest he may have served with the 2d Infantry before becoming Lt Col during the summer of 1864. Some of the gentleman who run this site can also provide the CMSR.
