Searching for information on B. L. Overby who served in Co. H., 8th Georgia Infantry. My ancestor, Baily Louis Overby, was a Confederate soldier. He was born January 7, 1847 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and had two brothers living in Floyd County, Georgia at the outbreak of the war. Baily died April 1, 1916 in Warren County, North Carolina. Can anyone help me identify this B. L. Overby of the 8th Georgia?
