FYI: There are several references to the deaths at the Academy Hospital following Chickamauga. I ran across many while searching the microfilm of the Memphis "Daily Appeal" (which was being published in Atlanta at that time). We obtained the microfilm on inter-library loan from Emory University in Atlanta. Other area hospital reported their admissions and losses during that period, and some brigade and regimental adjutants generals published their offcial casualty list -which are marked with an asterisk and reported as "not found" in the OR- in that paper. I am all but positive that the 7th Ms. has such an official report printed in that same spool of microfilm. The quality of the original that they photographed varies greatly. Enjoy it if you can - Joe
