Yes, I have noticed many missing casualty reports on many Confederate regiments and battalions. I have been putting that together for years. I sometimes get lucky with a magazine article or regimental history here in Washington Dc at the Library of Congress or National Archives.

Our goal is finding all Union flags captured during the Civil War. We have found well over 50 Union flags captured at Chickamauga. Bragg reported half of that.

There is not much on Longstreet's brigades that fought in the battle. I deducted the losses of these brigades and regiments from Gettysburg to get a ball park figure of what strength they would have been in battle with.

I still believe there are many more unknown captured Union flags still undiscovered. I have the complete War Department list of recaptured Union flags. I have gone over the OR CD several times. Not many Union regimental histories have been much of a help. Not many Union regimental commander admitted to losing a color.

Of all the battles during the Civil War, I am most interested in Chickamauga.
