However this might help you. In lookiing on the "Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System" websight, one can find names and info by search for soldiers. EJP Otts is found to be with the 8th Georgia Battalion Company A. Three John A Hardin s are found. One private in the 29th Georgia Infantry Co D. and one private is found in the 1st Engineer Troops Co F. Then my gggrandfather Lt. then Captain of the 8th Georgia Battalion Co D. Recently I descoved were one of these Private John A Hardin was killed in action. I do not remember where killed but I found that info on a web search. I also have read some information where the 8th Batt'n Co D (may have been all of the 8th) merged with the "Gist" Bregade. I found this information also by web searching. It appears that the "Gist" may have been involved in the heated and bloody battles to the end of the civil war.
